Business Manager

Joining Logico in May 2022 and is thriving in her new role putting her experience to good use supporting our clients.

Dave is our fun and easy going trainer. His key skill lies in effective communication, ensuring that knowledge is shared seamlessly within the team and with our training candidates.

Bill Spencer

Training Manager

Joining us in January 2024, Bill took the role of Training Manager, with qualifications in both transport compliance and adult learning, we look forward to Bill becoming a part of our team

Mark Cowan

Training Partner

New to the team, Mark developed the MixerSURE and TipperSure training courses, the world’s first and only regulated vocational qualification for drum and volumetric mixer drivers

Lisa Fleming

Managing Director

With her 17 years’ experience within the transport sector, she also has a Transport Manager CPC and will have completed her LLB course in the next two years to enable her to become a transport lawyer.

She manages all aspects of the business including performance against KPI’s, supporting and representing at public inquiries, undertakes transport and DVSA Earned Recognition audits and ensures the business is meeting all ISO 9001 standards.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending valuable time with her family, she is a big supporter of the local area and supports many charities by taking part in runs, horse racing nights and even sponsoring local dog shows! (We know, we don’t know how she finds the time too, she really is a super-woman!)

Stephen Gosnay

Commercial Director

His job is primarily customer facing, helping our clients with their compliance requirements, attending client meetings and being the go-to transport expert, he also likes getting involved with our suppliers too.

He recently passed his Transport Manager CPC and brings a wealth of commercial expertise to the company with his varied background, including working in the world of telecommunications, commercial laundry and printing.

He’s a passionate Middlesbrough football supporter and actually once played at their ground, the Riverside Stadium! He’s also completed many charity events including abseiling from the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, taken part in The CEO Sleepout and ran in the Great North Run in memory of his best friend.

Kelly Washington

Business Manager

After working in the care sector for many years as a deputy manager, she has built up a wealth of experience in HR, administration and payroll, transferring these skills into the transport sector has been a brilliant new challenge for Kelly and one which she is thoroughly enjoying.

As she learns more about the industry, Kelly is putting her experience and knowledge into assisting with public inquiry support and assisting with our training department.

As a self-confessed handbag hoarder, she has a huge collection and loves shopping for new designs. Kelly has also recently become a member of her local gym which she is really enjoying (we’re thinking she needs more strength to carry all those bags 😊).

Dave Wilkie

Trainer

Dave is our fun and easy going trainer. His key skill lies in effective communication, ensuring that knowledge is shared seamlessly within the team and with our training candidates.

Outside of the training room, Dave enjoys shooting and rugby, complemented by an appreciation for football.

There is never a dull moment with Dave, with the combination of his training skillset and humour,  working with and learning from Dave is always enjoyable

Bill Spencer

Training Manager

Joining Logico in January 2024, Bill is the newest member of the team. With a robust background in transport management and adult education, he is our newly appointed Training Manager. His role ensures the team is well-prepared for success.

Outside of work, Bill enjoys DIY projects, gardening, and travel, adding a dynamic dimension to the team.

Diligent, approachable, and supportive, Bill’s professional demeanour contributes to Logico’s collaborative and growth-focused environment.

Mark Cowan

Training Partner

Mark has worked with various stakeholders to help bring standards to the Ready Mixed Concrete, Aggregates and Minerals sectors.

Previously working as Director of Transport, Concrete, & Logistics for the British Aggregates Association, Mark worked with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, National Highways, CLOCS, Driving for Better Business, Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS), the Metropolitan Police Commercial Vehicle Unit, and the mixer manufacturers.

Mark developed the MixerSURE© and TipperSURE© training and the world’s first and only regulated vocational qualification for drum and volumetric mixer drivers and continues to provide solutions and support for the specialist vehicles used across construction logistics and minerals sectors.
